When I was in San Diego last month, I spent one afternoon at Fashion Valley on a day when the sun wasn’t out. I wasn’t planning to buy anything, but figured it would be fun to try on a bunch of stuff in the dressing room at Nordstrom to share on Instagram. Naturally, I did find things I wanted to buy, and they were very, very good finds. You can actually watch the try-on here! I saved it to my story highlights. The first is this shirt + sweater vest combo top by Veronica Beard. I love that the styling has been done for you, don’t you? It’s the perfect throw-on-and-go look for days where you just don’t have it in you to get creative in your closet. I’m wearing the medium here and it’s a very comfortable fit!
Another item I snagged was this pair of dark wash flared jeans by Rag & Bone! You can’t see in these photos, but I’m obsessed with the extreme high rise cut on these jeans. They go past my belly button, which is great for us tall gals and those of us with long torsos! They’re also really long, which makes them perfect for pairing with pumps and heeled boots, or perhaps with some platforms which have made a comeback. The jeans are super comfortable and stretchy too – always a plus! I’m wearing the size 29 here.
Last but not least, I picked up this pair of recycled leather pants by AGOLDE! They come in a few colors, but I picked up the black since that would be the most useful for me. They feature a straight leg, as opposed to this other crop flare style I picked up recently… what can I say? I love variety! While I was checking out at Nordstrom, I was delighted to discover that both pairs of jeans were marked down. Such a nice in-store surprise! While shopping online at Nordstrom is something I do regularly, it was fun to mix it up and shop in store on my trip. It’s been awhile since I’ve done that, and I tried things I might not have tried if I’d seen them online! If you prefer to shop online though, I’ve got you covered.
